For customers already running Reportworq

Here's what's changed since you went live.

Yes, it looks better. But the reason it's worth a look isn't the paint. It's what's underneath: governed AI you can put in front of finance, a real charting-and-mapping add-in, cleaner roles, modern sign-on, and one accountable audit surface for all of it.

What's changed

Governed content, across the business.

What started as a way to get finance's reports out the door has grown into the governed content the business runs on, and that AI can now safely use. Finance keeps the control it always had, and its content now reaches further than ever.

Where you started

  • Built for the administrator: author in Excel, automate the send.
  • Recipients received what was sent.
  • The report ended at the inbox.
  • Getting a plan back meant a slower grid, with no way to know if it would hold up.

Where it is now

  • Roles for every stakeholder, beyond just the administrator.
  • People sign in and browse what their permissions allow, or reach reports through Copilot or Claude, past the inbox.
  • People ask questions of the data and act on the answers, within finance's rules.
  • Contributors submit their piece of the plan in a familiar Excel-based form, tested for capacity before it goes live.

A brand-new high-speed input grid, with tools to profile memory and load-test capacity.

Capability
What's included
Role model
Enhanced

Three clean roles: Administrator, Author, and User. The User role carries real value: view, download, get it emailed, and ask AI about their own reports, all in the portal.

Separate teams' duties + access
New

Folder-level security isolates each team's content and duties across the workspace.

Everyone sees only their own
Enhanced

Report-level security: a User sees only their own content, enforced in the portal and through AI, so an assistant never surfaces a report they can't access.

Single sign-on
Enhanced

Native, Microsoft Entra ID, Google, and any Custom OIDC identity provider.

Capability
What's included
Charting + maps
New

In-add-in chart and map builder: Waterfall, Combo, stacked, plus data-bound maps, right in Excel.

Data from anywhere
Enhanced

Build reports on SQL, DAX, MDX, or API datasources: TM1 / Planning Analytics, Power BI, Workday Adaptive, Anaplan, Snowflake, and more.

Performance + scalability
New

Interactive refresh runs in isolated workers, so heavy, ad-hoc queries stay fast and can't stall the app, leaving room for many more analysts to explore live.

Capability
What's included
Slide authoring
Enhanced

Refreshed pane; link live data into existing decks via a unified Report › Sheet › Object picker.

Capability
What's included
AI insights in email + report
Enhanced

AI-written narrative on your own numbers, powered by your own AI: OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Amazon Bedrock, or Reportworq Hosted AI.

Teach reports to AI
New

An AI Profile step describes each report (audience and relevance) so assistants and search know when to surface it.

Connect your AI client to your reports
New

Point Microsoft 365 Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or your choice of AI client at your financial reports; recipients can ask AI about their own reports through Reportworq's governed MCP server, scoped to their permissions.

Finance sets the limits
New

Role-based access decides what each connector and each AI query can reach, so every assistant works within finance's rules. Every interaction, and its cost, is audited.

Capability
What's included
Job Editor
Enhanced

A refreshed six-step Job Editor: Reports → Parameters → Bursting → Distribution → AI Profile → Test.

Report Viewer
Enhanced

A portal Report Viewer to browse a report's run history, every parameter variation, and every output format: HTML, PDF, Excel, PowerPoint, CSV, and Markdown.

Validate a send
New

An in-app Email Inbox that captures every message the platform sends, alongside your real provider, so you can confirm exactly what a distribution looked like.

Performance tools
Enhanced

Detailed analysis of where time is spent, plus memory and CPU compared across job runs, and a live estimate of the time remaining on running jobs.

Capability
What's included
Input grid
New

A brand-new high-speed input grid: fast loading, fast entry, with built-in planning tools (Adjust, Spread, Paste special).

Capacity planning
New

New tools to profile a form's memory and load-test how many run at once, so you can plan capacity with confidence.

Capability
What's included
Impersonation
New

Impersonate a specific user to see exactly what they see, and verify your security and User access before you roll it out.

One audit surface
New

Adds AI Interactions and MCP Server logs alongside System, Job, and Contribution logs: every AI/assistant call, on one screen, exportable to Excel.

Output retention
Enhanced

Per-folder / per-report: Inherit · Keep all · Keep for a period, with a pin to keep period-close runs.

FAQ

Common questions about what's included

Do we need a new license or seat for the User role or Contribution?

The User role is included in your existing license, no separate seat. Contribution is its own license: if you don't already have it, it's a separate purchase; if you do, you are covered for as many users and contributors as you need, just as you always have been.

Do we need a separate add-in for charts and maps in Excel?

No. The chart and map builder lives in the Excel add-in you already use, no separate install.

Who can change security settings?

Only Administrators. Authors can see the security configuration but can't edit it, keeping duties separated.

See what Reportworq can do, on your own reports.

Twenty minutes, no canned demo.
