Report Distribution
Product Update
If you used IBM Cognos TM1 Perspectives, you remember the Print Report feature. Point it at a workbook, drive it off a subset, and out came a batch of refreshed reports. When Perspectives gave way to Planning Analytics for Excel, the free Print Reports tool brought that capability back.
The free Print Reports utility is being retired at the end of this year.
Reportworq does everything Print Reports does. The sections below cover what is different.
Print Reports does one job: take a template, fan it out across elements, and produce a batch of refreshed Excel reports on demand. It runs locally, on demand, when someone initiates it. It generates reports in Excel. Getting those reports to people is still a separate manual step. It reads from one Planning Analytics data source at a time.
Reportworq starts from that same core concept and removes each of those constraints.
Print Reports bursts across a subset. Reportworq bursts a single template across any combination of parameters and personalizes each output by user, role, or region. One template produces hundreds of tailored outputs, each showing only what its recipient is permitted to see.
Print Reports generates reports. Reportworq generates and distributes them to email, network drives, SharePoint, Google Drive, Microsoft Teams, Slack, or a GitHub repository for downstream pipelines. No manual step sits between generation and delivery.
Reportworq authors in Excel and PowerPoint. It outputs to Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, PDF, and HTML email. The same dataset can produce both a board-deck PowerPoint and a PDF for the audit file from a single job.
Reportworq runs on a schedule or triggers the moment new data finishes loading into Planning Analytics. The gap between data landing and stakeholders receiving it closes without manual intervention.
Reportworq connects to IBM Planning Analytics, Anaplan, Workday Adaptive, Pigment, Vena, Oracle, SQL databases, Google, and Office 365. Sources can be combined into a single output. No model changes required.
Reportworq distributes structured Excel input forms, collects responses, and loads them back into your planning system with a full audit trail.
Reportworq adds a governed AI layer with role-based access and consistent business definitions. Every answer is traceable to a trusted source. AI Excel functions bring AI-assisted content into the template and, through the Model Context Protocol, connect to AI clients, including Claude and Microsoft 365 Copilot.
